Today’s workforce is experiencing job burnout and different levels stress also in their personal lives. Workers at all levels may feel stressed out, insecure, and misunderstood.
While it’s normal to experience some level of stress at times, chronic stress can wreak havoc on our mental, physical and emotional health. Many people feel the demands of the workplace, combined with the demands of home, have become too much to handle.
This skills programme explores the causes of such stress, and explores stress management strategies that people can use every day to manage stress in order to function effectively in their work and personal lives.

- Identify and discuss the role of an individual’s personality plays in stress;
- Discuss the six different stress types;
- Develop an understanding of how to master the art of stress management; and
- Apply coping mechanisms and techniques to manage workplace stress effectively.
