The global Design Thinking market size was valued at USD 6900.0 million in 2021 and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.25% during the forecast period, reaching USD 10500.0 million by 2027[1].

The well-known design thinking catch word, popularized by Tim Brown (CEO of IDEO, a global design firm), is “a human-centered approach to innovation that draws from the designer’s toolkit to integrate the needs of people, the possibilities of technology, and the requirements for business success.”

With our ever changing world of work, businesses are quickly recognising that design can be used as a differentiator to respond to changing trends and consumer behaviours.  Designers have hundreds of tools and ways to ascertain problems, conduct research, ideate solutions, and explore use cases to find the best path forward. While designers study and train to create value for the product and for customers, the design thinking methodology can be used anywhere, from product development and finance to customer service and by anyone in business!
